I’m Dan and I set up my freelance exhibition and interior design business D2zign in 2017, after a decade of working at some of the UK’s top agencies as a designer and project manager. I wanted to bring my experience in commercial design and project management into my own business, offering clients a collaborative approach with innovative and cost-effective solutions whatever their space.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world with my design work, from Europe to Las Vegas to Shanghai.
I’ve designed a nail bar in Dubai, a stand for Nando’s, commentary boxes for Wimbledon, a product launch for Nokia, an interactive game for the Story Museum of Cardiff and even the flooring and walling to allow Dippy the Dinosaur make his home at National Museum Cardiff. I’ve also designed showrooms, reception areas and even food festival marquees. It’s certainly a diverse portfolio of work!
My work has spanned many industries, from healthcare and aerospace, to tourism and education. I’ve also worked on many private homes, visualising houses, rooms, apartments and gardens.
How I work
I like to work collaboratively with my clients to get the very best results for them.
I work in a transparent way, keeping communications open at every stage. I start the process with a call to get a brief on what you need, and to get some dimensions of the space. I can then quickly provide you with a no obligation quote for the work.
Once approved, I produce low resolution renders (visuals) of your project for your initial feedback. We can then make any amendments that may be required until you are 100% happy with the final design. I then provide a high resolution image and any working drawings or layouts that are required.
I do not provide construction as part of my business but I’m happy to work with the construction company of your choice. I also have many trusted contacts in the exhibition industry that I can recommend to my clients in that field. If you prefer, I can contact them on your behalf to get you prices, or even act as a mediator in the process.
